Caroline Hayes Named to 2018 CityBusiness “Women of the Year” Class

AOS is excited to announce that Caroline Hayes, VP Marketing, has been honored as part of the 2018 “Women of the Year” class by New Orleans CityBusiness. Started in 1999, Women of the Year recognizes fifty women from the Greater New Orleans whose successes in business and contributions to the community have made them exemplary leaders in the region. Caroline is the second woman at AOS to receive this recognition. New Orleans CityBusiness previously honored Suzanne Dumez, VP Business Development, for her contributions in 2016.

Caroline’s “Women of the Year” honor caps off a significant year for her career. In March, New Orleans CityBusiness named her “Ones to Watch: Top Private Companies”, and she lead AOS’ efforts as the 2018 title sponsor for YLC Wednesday at the Square. She also co-chaired the Young Leadership Council’s Role Model Gala and was recently promoted to VP Marketing,

Learn more about Caroline’s commitment to excellence in the following excerpt written by Tommy Santora for New Orleans CityBusiness:

“Early in Caroline Hayes’ marketing career, she realized that through working with startups and small businesses she needed a better understanding of all aspects of business operations.

Hayes dedicated that an intensive, one-year MBA program was an opportunity to further her career.

‘I knew I needed to do that to be a more effective communicator for whatever business I would be working for,’ Hayes said. ‘It helped me better understand the challenges of any business in the economy and the marketplace.’

Hayes is now vice president of marketing for AOS, leading the marketing communications and strategic planning efforts across all four of the company’s divisions.

‘It’s an incredible opportunity to market a company that provides innovative interior environments for New Orleans to work, live and play in,’ Hayes said. ‘I’m passionate about connecting clients and the architectural community with the commercial products and expertise necessary to turn their aesthetic goals into a reality.’

Hayes leads AOS’ charitable contributions to dozens of organizations throughout the region, and she serves as a GNO, Inc. NextGen Council member, on the Coastal Coalition for Resilience and Economy and is a board member for the Young Leadership Council. This year, she co-chaired the YLC Role Models Gala.

‘Passion is the energy that keeps us going; it is fueled by meaning, happiness, excitement and anticipation,’ she said. ‘I was lucky enough to be taught at a young age that passion can be a force to help you accomplish anything you set your mind to.’”

Congratulations to the entire 2018 New Orleans CityBusiness Women of the Year class! Learn more about the honorees here.
