06 Jul GROUND BREAKING AND BREAKING GROUND: NETCHEX ENJOYS NEW HEADQUARTERS IN MANDEVILLE, LA

In 2003 two LSU graduates came together to develop Netchex, a payroll services company located in Mandeville, LA.  The goal of this company was to change the experience of payroll outsourcing by embracing three key factors: web integration, accountability of service and value.  Today, Netchex is currently the fastest growing Payroll, Human Resources, Time and Attendance and Benefit services company in America with offices in Texas, Mississippi and Georgia.  They currently service over 3,000 clients throughout the United States by providing a single-sourced cloud based solution to manage employees from hire to retire.

In the last few years, it became increasingly evident that the Netchex team needed a larger facility to meet their growing demands and further perpetuate company growth.  Staying true to their roots, the company hired Northshore based, Greenleaf Architects to expand their headquarters occupying two floors in a newly built office space in Mandeville.  Our AOS DIRTT team worked closely with Greenleaf and the contractor, Kent Design Build, to build out the space required to meet the company’s needs. Both the client and the architect embraced DIRTT early on in the process because of the user focused design capabilities and ongoing adaptability.

The whole space was designed to reflect the innovative drive and originality that Netchex was built on.  A modern take on the traditional office embraced the use of bright colors, natural light and a touch of playful industrial features.  A wide variety of environments including executive offices, open area and shared desk stations, four conference rooms help to encourage productivity by nurturing a full range of work and creative outlets. The focus on collaboration is highly evident in the eye-catching multipurpose room. The inviting space is equipped with its own conference room, full service kitchen, coffee bar, dining space, versatile media presentation capabilities, as well as, a foosball and Ping-Pong table.  Studies have shown that providing a space within the office that promotes fun and relaxation results in employees that are more productive in their work and are happier in all aspect of their lives.

The design tapped in to a wide range of DIRTT solutions to enhance and execute the build out of the space. Security was inherently a top priority for a company that specializes in sensitive information.  To meet this need, customized locking systems that require unique access cards for entry were installed within the facility doors. The client chose to use glass barn doors in the conference rooms to optimize the fluidity of light, people and ideas throughout the space. Our DIRTT team sourced custom hardware to facilitate this request. Finally, in keeping with the theme of collaboration, frameless glass corners and embedded whiteboards were installed throughout both floors to provide multiple writable surfaces to be utilized as needed.

Netchex is leading the way with their payroll services and now with their work environment as well.  Armed with a new headquarters that is capable of supporting the needs of the employees, this game changing company is staged to maintain its impressive growth rate.  The AOS team continues to be inspired by this dynamic company and all of our partners in the region that are embracing creative ways of building better with DIRTT.
