GFP, an architect and interior design firm headquartered in Thibodaux, Louisiana, is known for its progressive approach to architecture, with a deep commitment to sustainability and the Gulf Coast region. When it came time to upgrade their own offices, GFP sought to create a space that reflected their values while blending modern aesthetics with coastal tradition. Moving into a new space, they envisioned an environment that serves both their growing practice and the Bayou region at large. AOS worked closely with GFP to deliver a unique combination of manufactured interior construction and furniture solutions that underscore both design and functionality.
The headquarters is a showcase of thoughtful design, with extensive millwork tailored to exact needs across areas like the design center, kitchen, copy/print areas, conference rooms, and coffee stations. Iconic and contemporary furniture from brands like Knoll and Muuto, including classics like tulip tables, complements the clean lines and custom casework throughout the space. Glass panels flood the interior with light, while an acoustic felt slat feature provides both sound management and visual interest, blending alternating lengths and colors. The design center offers a dedicated space for laying out materials and meeting with clients, with ample storage integrated into the staircase in a playful, Tetris-like arrangement of drawers and cabinets. This headquarters is a testament to GFP’s architectural vision, balancing coastal heritage with a modern approach.
