As an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations, this business owns and operates power plants with approximately 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity, including nearly 10,000 megawatts of nuclear power, making it one of the nation’s leading nuclear generators. In order to continue providing efficient and effective service to the growing Baton Rouge area, the company decided to renovate its offices on Essen Lane to prepare for the relocation of its distribution operation center. The new Transmissions Operations Center provides much needed space for its customer service team. From the renovated space featuring a new standard of open workstations and collaborative break-out spaces, the company is able to monitor the district’s power grid, locate damaged lines and quickly dispatch field crews to investigate and correct problems.
