A New Orleans staple, Reily Foods Co. is home to a variety of specialty brands and Louisiana flavors, including Luzianne Tea and Coffee, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, French Market Coffee, New England Coffee, and CDM, that manufactures and markets products across the United States. With the company’s rich history, the move was a substantial step for the company since they had been housed in the same historic building for over 100 years. Holly and Smith Architects utilized a progressive design approach that encouraged collaboration while also bringing the over 100-year-old company into the 21st century and incorporating their history into the design of the space.
However, there was a strict time restriction. Reily Foods Co., Holly and Smith Architects and general contractor Palmisano needed to build out the space within 100 days. They turned to AOS for DIRTT’s solutions and were able to create a fresh design, incorporate modern building materials and technology, and provide rapid installation and quality finishes. The project began with the complete demolition of the 10th floor in a fully occupied high rise building in downtown New Orleans. DIRTT’s quiet construction allowed for work during normal office hours and minimized the disruption to upper and lower neighbors, contributing to the overall speed of installation. DIRTT’s rapid manufacturing and installation helped the project reach completion by the deadline.
The renovation of the 22,699 SQ FT office space features 20 private offices, over 60 workstations, a reception area, a break room, an employee lounge, 4 conference rooms, a print/copy room, storage room, a server room, breakout areas, and 2 print stations. The new headquarters gave Reily Foods Co. the opportunity to provide a fresh look, inspire a collaborative culture and retain a sense of history.
