The Global Group: Maximum Quality for a Minimal Budget

AOS has partnered with many vendors over the years to source the best furniture for a variety of clients. Since 1966, The Global Group’s mission has stayed the same: manufacturing well-made office furniture at an affordable price. Through a network of vertically integrated suppliers, manufacturers, marketers and distributors, that mission is able to still exist today. Selecting a product on a budget doesn’t mean sacrificing quality either. The Global Group has recently shared with us some of their latest and greatest products. Allow us to introduce you to Solar™, Lite™, Beach™ and Citi Square™.

Solar™ has been called a modern chair for modern times. A fluid structure and integrated mesh surface come together via designer Paul Brooks. The one-piece frame and matching base is available in Alabaster and Asphalt along with coordinating mesh colors. An integrated swivel tilt mechanism supports meeting and collaborative applications. Features include an incredibly light one-piece molded frame, an intuitive and easy to adjust height adjustment lever, and a cascading forward seat surface that provides better leg clearance and comfort.

Lite™ is an elegant update on the classic sled base. The new seating series blends refined metal work with a ribbed mesh covering in an array of contemporary neutrals and chromatic hues. Lite™ is available in a leg chair with non-marking glides or on casters to make it mobile. A traditional cantilever and a contemporary loop are two arm styles available on all models. This chair can even be fully upholstered with your favorite textile! A horizontal top stitch on the front face of the upholstery adds to the timelessness of the piece. Frame finishes include polished chrome and black or tungsten powder-coated epoxy.

Beach™ offers endless comfort for private offices, conference areas and libraries. A slim design guarantees guests to be welcomed in smaller spaces. Clean lines and contoured elements reveal a classic look in a solid wood chair. With a 300 pound weight rating, this solid wood frame achieves maximum durability for multi-purpose use, giving purchasers peace of mind. Beach is available in a variety of standard wood finishes with the option to custom color. The back is available in wood vertical slats or upholstered in fabric, vinyl, or leather.

Citi Square™ is Global’s most popular lounge series and comes to us with a new metal frame design. Optional double width cushions compliment the new look which is available on freestanding models and modular configurations. Sleek metal frames come standard in Tungsten, Polished Chrome or Black. Designers hold the power to use Citi Square™ as a sectional—creating a relaxed atmosphere in an open space. One, two, three or four seats are available. Tables add to the function of both sectional and freestanding applications and are offered in a variety of sizes. Adding a laminate finish with optional integrated power and USB charging for mobile devices makes this line a dynamic force in contemporary furniture design.
